Instructions for Using the SEO Analysis Score Sheet ^©

1. Open the SEO Score Sheet in Microsoft Excel.
2. Enter the page name of each page that you are checking in the top section of the score sheet.
   
   The 17 factors to score are listed down the left hand side of the score sheet.
   Move your mouse over a Factor name to see an explanation of that factor.
    
3. Access your first web page. This could be your Home page.
4. In the column labeled Criterion, rate your first page on each of the 17 factors.
5. Score your web page on each factor as follows:
   
   a.If your web page completely meets the criterion displayed, enter “5” in the Page 1 Score column.
   b.If your web page meets no part of the criterion, enter “0”.
   c.If it marginally meets the criterion, enter “1”.
   d.If it partly meets the criterion, enter “2”, “3” or “4” in proportion to the extent it meets the criterion.
   
   The Effectiveness Index is automatically calculated and displayed for each of your web pages. 100% is the maximum score for a perfectly optimized page. Some factors are more important than others. So, your page score is adjusted automatically according to the weighting for each factor.
    
6. Repeat the above steps for each of your web pages.
7. Review your score for each web page using the Your score box.
8. Take the appropriate action to improve your score.
